The Company is formed for the purpose , of constructing a Tramway from Napier to Taradale via the Napier Park, and any further extension that may be considered advisable from time to time by the said Company. It is also proposed to connect with the Railway at Napier, and to arrange with the Government to run Trains from the Railway Station to the Racecourse when required. An estimate of the cost of construction has been prepared, as also a statement showing the probable earniugs of the Tramways, together with a similar statement of the working expenses. From these (prepared by one practically acquainted with the construction and working of tramways) there is every prospect of the undertaking being in a position to more than cover working expenses as soon as opened for traffic, and before long of being able to pay a good rate of interest upon the capital invested. _ The promoters feel that it is quite unnecessary to point out the innumerable advantages to be derived by the community at large from the introduction of Tramways. Wherever introduced they have been largely patronised by the public, and the undertaking should command the support of all who desire cheap, frequent, and easy means j of transit from place to place. To those who have purchased, or intend I to purchase, allotments in the vicinity of the , Napier Park or within the Taradale Disl trict, for the purpose of building residences . upon, this project commends itself.
