'" Building Regulations for the Borough of Napior" arc hereby published for general information:— Clause 3.—Every building already erected, or that may bo hereafter erected, in tho Borough of Napier, Avhether such building bo built upon new or old foundatious, or upon foundations partly old ancl new, or Avhether such building bo an addition to any building already erected, or which may be hereafter erected, and every other Avork, matter, or thing in respect of which provision is made in this By-law shall bo subject to the control and supervision of the Borough Council, and shall bo erected, fixed, added to, altered, renewed or repaired, in accordance Avith the provisions of this By-law. Clause 4.—Before beginning to erect any building, or to alter, aeld to, or renew any building already erected, or Avhich may be hereafter erected, or to execute any other work placed under" the control and supervision of the Borough Councilin thisßyo-law, thearchiteet. the builder, owner, or occupier shall submit to the Municipal Engineer tho plans and specifications of the contemplated Avork for bis inspection, ancl shall request him to inspect the same, and shall give such further particulars to the Slunicipal Engineer as ho may require ; and no work placed under tho control and superA'ision of the Borugh Council in this Bye-law shall be commenced until the Municipal Engineer has performed an inspection at the request of such builder, owner, or occupier, and has certified that tho plans and specifications thereof aro in accordance Avith the provisions of this By-law, or if the Avork is of such a nature that plans and specifications aro not required until the Municipal Engineer lias certified that the Avork may bo commenced Avithout danger of fire or any injury. Seven clear days shall bo allowed to tho Municipal Engineer to examine the drawings, ancl no building shall bo commenced until the plans aro signed by him.
