Arrived, Arawata, from Fiji. Passengers —Mrs Headdy and two children, Mrs Ansdell, Mrs Brayshaw, Messrs H. Bently Findlayson, H. E. Thompson, W. 11. Hackory, Tnglod, and Debhman. A crowded public meeting was held at Levuka on March 29. A resolution was carried favorable to the annexation of Fiji by Now Zealand. It was decided to prepare a petition to the New Zealand legislature praying for the endorsement of the resolution.
