THE EXPEDITION TO KHARTOUM. SPREAD OF CHOLERA IN EUROPE. APPEARANCE IN SWITZERLAND. (Received August 23, 1.15 p.m.) LONDON. August 22. Tenders for tho balance (£20,000) of tho Oamaru Harbor Board loan have been opened, aud those at £101 and upwards will receive allotment in full. It has transpired that the authorities at the Horse Guards insist on the expedition to Khartoum proceeding by the Nile route, and not via Suakim.
