LONDON. August IS. Tho Australian cricketers commenced a match at Cheltenham to-day against an eleven of the County of Gloucester. The following arc the names of the home team : —Messrs J. A. Bush, E. M. Grace, W. G. Grace, W. W. F. Pullen, E. J. Taylor, F. Townscnd, H. V. Page, J. H. Brain, F. H. Curteis, and Woof and Painter. There was a good attendance of spectators, and tho Aveather Avas splendid. The ground was in excellent order, and a first-rate wicket Avas pitched. The homo team went in first, and Avero all put out for 183, the principal scorers being E. M. Grace bowled SG, and Painter caught 34. The Australians then went in for their first innings, and scored 17G for the loss of two Avickets before the stumps Avere drawn. Murdoch and Scott had then each scored Go runs, runs, and wore playing brilliantly. (Received August 20, 1.10 a.m.) The homeward mails per Orient steamship Garonnif, from Melbourne on July 10, were delivered via Brindisi to-day.
