August IG—Rotomahana, s.s., for Melbourne via Wellington and Southern ports. Passengers—Misses Davis, Hewitt, Tan- . nei° Balharry, and Cook, Mesdames M'Lean, McKain, Halden, Snellmg and 5 children, Messrs Peddcl, Tyo, Aloore, R. T. Walker, Elkin, Balharry, Paul, Snelling, Bridge, Newman, Brown, Dalrymnlc, Mem, Lewis, Barclay, J. D. Orniond, W. Harker, and Loughan. IG— TeAnau, s.s., for Poverty Bay and Auckland. Passengers — Miss Maria Te Pina, Mrs Tcbbutt, Messrs R. Dobbie, Tahetu, Petera, Tarea, Liugarer, Turoa, Kopatane, Tebbutt, R. T. Smith, T. W. Paul, S. Hi, and Graves.
The Union Company's s s. To Anau, Captain Magce, from Melbourne, via Southern ports, arrived at the anchorage at about 2 o'clock on Saturday afternoon, and was tendered by the Boojum for passengers (after she had finished the Rotomahana), but owing to the heavy easterly lump, did not get back till 6 p.m. The steamer Sir Donald went out for cargo, but being unable to lie alongside, the Te Anau was obliged to carry her cargo on. Tho following is a report of her passage up the coast —Left Dunedin on the loth, at 1.30 p.m., arriving at Lyttclton on the 14th, at 10 am. : left again at 0 p.m., and arrived at Wellington next day ; left again at G p.m. arriving as above. From Dunedin to Lyttclton, had very foggy weather, which delayed the boat at the Heads for two hours. From Lyttclton to Wellington had fine weather, and from Wellington to Napier, had strong head winds and high soa. The outward mails and passengers were taken off about 7 o'clock in the evening, the To Anau steaming on her course at 0 p.m. The s.s. Go-Ahead, Capt. Plumley, from Wellington via tho coast, arrived _ here yesterday morning, and was berthed inside later on". She discharged her cargo some 50 tons, into one of the receiving sheds on the breastwork this morning, and at 3.30 p.m. was to have steamed again for Wellington. . The s.s. Wairoa is to steam for Wairoa at 12 o'clock to-night, taking cargo and passengers. The outward mails and passengers were taken off to tho Union Company's s.s. Rotomahana, Capt. Carey, at 2 o'clock on Saturday, tho vessel steaming on her course for Southern ports and Melbourne at 3 p.m. She is telegraphed as having arrived at Wellington at 10.25 a.m. yesterday. Tho p.s. Manala will take her departure for Wairoa at 8 o'clock to-morrow evening.
