CHURCH SACRILEGE.
Port Chalmers, This day. An act of sacrilege was committed on Saturday night. The vestry of the Wesloyan Church was forcibly entered, the lids of eleven contribution boxes were wrenched off, and the contents stolen. The thieves laid stones and wood outside tho vestry window by which they entered, to prevent traces of their footmarks being seen.
