The main roads through tlio Block havo been or arc noAV being cleared of bush and formed for dray and horse traffic. Tho whole of the block is lightly timbered and contains somo good agricultural and pastoral forest country. The soil is of a rich description overlying a marl and limestone formation. The average attendance is about 110, and is rapidly increasing. - Tho salary depends upon tho average attendance at the school; at tlio present time it is about iSIVo per annum, plus payments for training the pupil teachers, plus any additional bonus Avhich may be paid by the Board on tho results of tho annual examination of the school.
