DEATH OF REV. FATHER MOREAU.

The Rev. Father Moreau, who has been a priest of the Catholic Church in New Zealand for many years, and Avas formerly in charge of tho present diocese of Dunedin, dicdlierc yesterday, aged 81. He had. been up the river for a few months instituting a new church among the Maoris at Jerusalem, and being ill came down to town, where, after a month in bed, ho succumbed.
