PROFITABLE COPPER MINE.

The Champion Copper Company, Avhich recently sent 20 tons of stuff to NeAVcastle, have received the following cable :—" The out turn avus -38y,- per ccut., and sold at twelve shillings per unit." It is calculated that tho shipment has realised £23 per ton, which is considered very satisfactory. The cross-cut is now through the Doctor's lodo, about two feet Avicle. Tho manager estimates the Doctor's lode to bo Avorth £150 por f:itliom. Tho samples of drilling- appear to be half native copper, and aro to be sent for analysis. These highly encouraging reports tire causing great excitement.
