DEPARTURES

November. 2—Mary Wadley, three-masted schooner, for Grey mouth.

The steamer Maori, Capt. returned from Wairoa at 11 o'olock hist night, bringing a number of passengers and 147 sacks of maize. She will be leaving again for the same destination on Monday night. The three-masted schooner Mary Wadlcy, Capt. Moore, cleared at the Customs and Bailed yesterday afternoon for Greymouth in ballast. The Union Company s steamer Tarawcra, Capt. Sinclair, is telegraphed as having left Auckland at 3 p.m. yesterday, will be leaving Gisborno to-night, and should be at the anchorage by daylight to-morrow. She has 138 tons of cargo on board for here, ■which will bo tendered for, together ■with the mails and passengers, as usual in the roadstead, the latter outwards being announced to leave the breastwork at 10 a.m.

The schooner Columbia, Capt. Conway, has cleared at the Customs for Auckland •With a cargo of 000 sacks of maize, "t\ tons of corrugated iron, and a quantity of timber, and will probably be sailing this afternoon. The s.s. 2Owi, Capt. James Campbell, from Wellington via Castle Point, arrived in the roadstead at G a.m. this day, and was berthed inside at the breastwork by 7 o'clock. She brought a large cargo for here, which included a considerable quantity of transhipment goods out of the Pleione, Doric, and Merein, and which was all discharged during the day. The Kiwi was to have got away again for Wellington at 6 p.m. this day. The p.s. Manaia's departure for Wiuroa has been postponed on account of the present dirty weather, and she docs not now expect to get away before 12 o'clock tomorrow night. The topsail schooner which brought up in the bay yesterday proved, as we anticipated, to be the Ziur. She is bound to Capo Turnagain with a cargo of timber, and has merely put m hero for a fresh supply of provisions. The Union Steamship Company's _ s.s. Rotorua was expected to have left Wellington at about G or 7 o'clock to-night, and would in such case be due here at about middiiv to-morrow. Her time of departure northward is fixed at >> p.m. to-morrow.
