THE LATE BOATING ACCIDENT.

[To the Editor of the Daily Teleokaph.] Sir,—You will, lam sure, allow me the use of your columns to thank thoso who so kindly rendered their assistance in the search for my son and those who wore lost with him. That their efforts were unavailing must be a source of deep regret to them as well as to myself. I beg, however, to render them the heartfelt thanks of myself and Mrs Meek, and to say that wo cannot leave Napier without expressing our deep gratitude for tho kind sympathy and assistance we have received. We should like to thank those kind frionds individually but cannot, as we do not know them all, besides our time is limited and our sorrow great, but we hope they will accept our assurance that their kindness will never bo forgotton.—l am, &c,, Arthur Meek. Napier, October 25, 1883.
