'H' TAKES THE POST OF HONOR.

An old story used to go the rounds with an "S " as the initial letter of each word, and now another has been concocted, in which an "II" has the preference', that will carry terror to every Englishman's heart: —Humphrey Hubbard had heard Hopzibuh Higgling humming hymns hilariously, he having helped Hopzibah homeward. Humphrey hankered hugely, harboring handsome Hopzibah heartwise. Ho had high hawthorn hedges hiding his handsome house, harnessed horses hauling harrows, ho hoeing hills, helping herdsmen, hewing hemlocks, hacking hemp, harvesting hops, hunting hawks, hunting hatching hens. Hepzibah's helpful housekeeper, hemmed handkerchiefs, hoarded honey hitherto hived, heeled hose having holes, handled harpsichord harmoniously ; happy Hopzibah! Her honest homely happiness hit Humphrey heavily. He hovered, handsomely habited, hinting humbly how Hopzibah had harried his heart. Hopzibah honored his hearty homage. Hating, however, haphazard hasto, Hopzibah hung her head basting, hemming, hawing, hoping Humphrey hail harmless habits; hypocritical, hesitating Hepaibah ! He held her hand hopefully, hungrily humoring her. Happily Hopzibah heeded her hirsute hero. Hymen hitched Humphrey Hubbard —Hopzibah Higgling, ho hugging her, happily hysterical! Henceforth husband helped housewife, hay hornpipes holding honeymoon hardly hearing harlequins howling hallelujahs, hailing house warning. Ha !Ha!Ho !Ho !
