October. 7 —Te Anau, s.s., for Poverty Bay and Auckland. Passengers—Mrs Brandon, Mr and Mrs Fischer; Messrs Diamond, Knorpp, Bold, Light, Wraggo, Bowcrn ; and 2 steerage. B—Manapouri, s.s., for Wellington Lyttelton, and Duncdin. Passengers—Mrs Graham and two children, Messrs Chamberlain, Murdic, Irvine (2), George Chalmers, Parker, and MeFarlane. B—Manaia, p.a., for Wairoa. Passengers —Messrs H. Lascelles andT. J. Large. The Union Steamship Company's steamer To Anau, Capt. McGce, from Melbourne via Southern ports, arrived here at a few minutes before S o'clock on Saturday night, and was at once tendered for inward mails and passengers by the Boojnm, and for cargo, some 147 tons, by the lighters Sir Donald and Admiral. The outward passengers for Gisbornc and Auckland were taken oft' at 11 o'clock, but the To Anau did not get away until 2 o'clock on Sunday morning. The s.s. Maori returned from Wairoa at 1.30 p.m. on Saturday, bring several passengers, 03 sacks of maize, and 4 bales of wool. She will be leaving agnin for the same place at 0 o'clock to-morrow nioning. The Messrs Shaw Savill and the Albion Company's barque Wave Queen, Capt Kelly, arrived in the roadstead from Wellington last evening, having experienced very light easterly weather throughout tho trip. .She brings 2SO tons of original cargo from London for this port, which she will commence discharging on Wednesday, after which she will succeed tho barque Langstono on tho berth for London. The p.s. Maiiiiin, Capt. Baxter, got away for Wairoa at G. 30 a.m. this day, with a good cargo. The Union G'o7njianj-'sstc.'jmcTi\riinapoini, Captain Logan, arrived at the anchorage fit G o'clock thin morning from Sydney via the North. The following- is a report of her voynjro to Auckland, clipped from a Northern contemporary: —The Manapouri arrived in harbour at about 1.30 yesterday afternoon, with passengers and cargo from Sydney. Upon reaching Dunediu this trip the Manapouri is to bo placed in dock for an overhaul, but to look at the vessel as she came into port sho docs not exhibit much signs of nocdin" , such a course —a fact that all the more reflects to tho credit of Caphiin Logan and his officers. Aloft and below she gives every indication of care having been bestowed upon her. Of tho passage from Sydney Captain Logan reports having left it o\.'i() p.m. on the 29th ultimo, find passed the Three Kings at 4 p.m., and rounded tho North Cape at 0 p.m. on tho 3rd instant. Experienced fresh southerly winds and fine weather during the rim across. Passed s.s. Bingiiroonui at 10 p.m. on tho 3rd instant oft North Cape. The Manapouri sailed from Auckland at noon on the Oth, arrived at Gisborno at 2 p.m. on tho 7th ; sailed again lit 9 p.m., arriving here as given above. The Sir Donald and Three Brothers lightered her of her en rg-o, sonic 70 tons, and the launch Boojuin tendering as usual for mails and passengers, taking those outwards oIT at noon, the Manapouri steaming on her way for Wellington, Lyttelton, and Duncdin at 1.30 p.m. The steamer Kiwi, Captain Campbell, is to leave Wellington at o o'clock this evening, and will be due here on Wednesday morning.
The s.s. Fairy has cleared at tho customs for Tongoio, and will bo leaving tho first favorable chance.
Tho New Zealand Shipping Company's ship Wairoa is telegraphed as has having loft Wellington for this port yesterday, and may be expected to arrive here within tho next few days.
