AWARDS TO THE COLONIES AT FISHERIES EXHIBITION.
GUNBOATS FOR THE AUSTRALIAN STATION. LONDON. October 1. The judges at the Fisheries Exhibition have awarded gold and silver medals respectively to the Government of Now South Wales, Mr Ramsay, and Baron Macleay. There appears to bo now some prospect of Prance modifying its scheme for the establishment of convict settlements in the Pacific.
