The Melbourno manager of tho National Mortgage and Agency Company of NewZealand (limited) reports of the local grain market as follows:—Wheat is quiet but steady at 4/8 to 4/9 ; malting barley 5,'- to 0/1, with quotations nominal; New Zealand oats aro in fair demand at 3/- to 3/1 for feeding, and 3/2 to 3/3 for milling qualities ; New Zealand oats, under bond, 2/2 to 2/5. Messrs 0. S. Ross and Co., of this city, report tho sale of Avhite pine timber ex May and Welcome at the folloAving average prices:—At per 100 feet super, stiAvn boards 6/-, dressed do S■■•'(!, and flitches 7/- ;at per 100 feet lineal, flooring, 6x J, 4/9.
