Waddington, who has been deputed by the French Cabinet to conduct the negotiations with reference to the Franco-Chinese difficulty in Tonquin, have arrived in England, and havo gone to AValmer Castle, the seat of Lord Granville to confer with the British Foreign Minister with the view of arriving at a settlement of the difficulty. At to-day's wool auction the catalogue comprised 11,400 bales. The market was firm.
