MEETING BETWEEN THE NATIVE MINISTER AND MAJOR KEMP.
Waxganui, This day. Mr Bryce, the Native Minister, who arrived in'town on Wednesday last, had an interview with Major Kemp, Maori chief, at Upokongaro yesterday. It was a most cordial meeting," as if no strained relations had ever existed between Kemp and the Government, and after a short interview they parted on the best of terms. A good number of natives wore present, with several Europeans.
