A poll for the election of a warden to fill the vacancy in tlio Puketapu Eoacl Board will be taken at the school-room, Puketapu, betweeii the hours of 9 a.m. and G p.m. tomorrow.
Messrs Banner and Liddlc hold an important clearing sale of drapery and clothing on the premises adjoining the Caledonian Hotel at 11 a.m. to-morrow.
Mr Montcith sells a consignment of clothing, &c., at the Horse Bazaar auction rooms at 11.30 a.m. to-morrow, and at 1.30 p.m. holds his usual weekly stock and produce sale.
The share list of the Gisbornc Gas Company closes to-morrow. Mr W. G-. Motley is the local broker.
Mr Alexander Browne makes a grand display of spring and summer drapery at his establishment in Hastings-street to-morrow.
Mr Ryan sells by auction on Monday, on the promises, Dalton-street, under distress for rent, the household furniture and effects of Mr A. Lewis.
A general meeting of the Ilawke's Bay Cricket Association will be held on Monday evening next. An election of five wardens to fill the ordinary vacancy in the Tamumu Road Board takes place on the 27th instant, and the nominations of candidates will be received by the returning officer, Mr Westmoreland, up to noon on the 19th instant. Mr R. 11. Robinson, of the Cheap Drapery shop, Emerson-street, has opened up new season's dress goods direct from the manufacturers at Bradford, and quotes prices.
Another special prize is added to the list already published to bo awarded at the forthcoming show of the Agricultural and Pastoral Society. Messrs Blythc and Co. quote prices for school satchels and music rolls just opened. A number of new advertisements will be found in our "Wanted " column.
