New Plymouth, This day. The inquest on the fire on Poverty Flat lasted till past midnight, when the jury brought in'a verdict that the evidence pointed in a circumstantial manner to Thomas Weir, the owner of the house, who was then committed to take his trial on the charge of arson at tho next sittings of the Supreme Court.
