1 r The steamer Kiwi, Captain James Campbell, from Wellington and the coast, arrived in the bay at 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon, and was brought straight inside by the pilot and moored at the breastwork. Sho reports having left Wellington on Tuesday last, and to having- called at Uriti, CustlcPoint, and Pahau m route, landing some 60 tons of cargo. The Kiwi brings about 100 tons of cargo for hero, including transhipments out of tlio ships Oxford and TiiuW'u, which she discharged during the day, and at i> o'clock to-night was to have sailed for Wellington. The Union Company's steamer Ringarooina, Captain Carey, only left Auckland at 3 o'clock last night for Southern ports and Melbourne. It will probably take her until 10 or 11 o'clock to-night to reach Gisbome, and if sho has much cargo to discharge there it would mako it well into Sunday afternoon before she could put in an appearance hero. The Ringarooma brings some 45 tons of cargo for this port, after discharging which sho will get away for the south, her time of departure, however, being at present fixed for 10 n.m. The steamer Maori, Captain Anderson, got away for Wairoa at midnight last night, with a full cargo and some passengers. The steam launch Bella, Captain Green, has loaded up for Mohaka, and will bo leaving at 1 o'clock on Monday morning. The Union Company's steamship Wairarapr', Captain Chatfield, was to have loft Wellington this afternoon, being due here to-morrow morning. She is announced to steam for Northern ports and Sydney at -1 p.m. to-morrow.

Tho Bank of England weekly returns show a total reserve in notes and bullion of £13,900,000, an increase of .-£500,000 daring the week. The proportion of reserve to liabilities is -IS per cent. New Zealand securities remain at last quotations, namely, five percent 10-10 loan, 10G.V ; five per cent 1889 loan, IOGj ; four ancla half per cent 1879-1904- loan, IOO.f ; four per cent inscribed stock, lUO\. Adelaide wheat, ex-store, continues at 47/-, and New Zealand ditto at 4-1/- to 4G/- : Adelaide Hour, ox-storo, 33/-. Australian tallow, best beef 40/G, and best mutton 41/ G. Sydsky, Fridaj'. Now Zealand wheat, 4/3 ; New Zealand oats, 2/5 ; maize, 2/10. Adklaidk, Fridar. Wlicat, 5/-, nominal, market dull, with nothing doing - ; town flour £11 o/-, and country flour £10 5/-.
