Sho comes here in ballast to load wool and other produce for London, Messrs Kinross and Co. being her local agents. The steamer Kiwi did not turn up, as was expected, this morning, having probably boon availing herself of tlic fine weather now prevalent to land cargo on the coast. She is now expected to arrive here to-morrow morning, her time of departure having been extended until 5 p.m. that day. . Up to the time our report left the Spit the Union Company's steamer Taiaroa, Captain Parsons, bad not arrived from the South. The brigantine Clansman, Captain Lamb, is now 22 days out from Lyttelton, and as vessels which left ten days after her have arrived, some anxiety is "felt for her safety. The Clansman is owned by Messrs M'Quarrie aud Lawrie, Auckland. AVellington, This day. No tidings have been received of tho barque Kilmeny, considerably overdue on hor voyage from this port to Newcastle. She is 18.8 days out to-day, having left AVellington on tho sth May, and there is very little doubt that she has come to grief, and all hands havo been lost. The Kilmeny was a barque of 792 tons register, and the following aro tho names of the crew who left in her for Newcastle :—Captain Logan ; M. M'Kenzie, first mate; B. T. Shaw, second mate ; G. Taylor, T. Roberts, J. Carson, A. Crawford, J. Meegan, M. Trccmeroni, G. T. Findlay, J. AY. Johnson, T. Hughes, C. J. Hansen, P. Jacobsen, J. Tipple, L. Holt, J. Gladstone, and AY. Hewitt, A.B.s; C. E. Osbourn and G. G. Fish, apprentices. It has boon suggested that tlic captain may have changed his . mind and proceeded to an American port, but as against this supposition it may he mentioned that ho was known to have business iv Newcastle and held a draft on the bank at that place. Arrived, barque AVavo Queen, Captain Kelly, 102 days out from London, all well.
