Tenders for "making about 30 chains of river embankment at "Meanee (in tAvo contracts) must bo sent in to Mr Rymcr not later than to-morroAv, and for erecting about 15 chains of embankment at Papakura to Mr Frank Collinge, PakoAvhai, by noon torn or roAV. An alteration is made in tho programme of the entertainment to be given at Taradale to-morroAv evening in aid of tho funds of the Meanee school. Messrs Banner and Liddle sell at their rooms on Friday, onions, hams, and bacon. Tho HaAA'ke's Bay County Council invite separate tenders for E o-rming road, fencing same, and cutting drain at Petane. Mr M. 11. Purcell, Occidental Hotel, invites tenders for the erection of tyro double chimneys (labor only). Messrs Banner and Liddle sell on Saturday a consignment of fruit and forest trees, shrubs, pot plants, kc, from Mr Sturm's HaAvke's Bay Nursery. Mr Monteith sells at tho Horse Bazaar on Saturday horses, harness, ancl produce. Plans of tho properties at Hastings, to be sold by auction on Tuesday next, can be bad on application to tho auctioneers, Messrs Hoadley, Lyon and Co. Mr Lyndon holds a land sale on "Wednesday next, AA'hen Napier toAvn section 291, in part, Avith all rights belonging thereto, will be offered. Mr F. AA r . C. Sturm, of tho HaAA'ke's Bay Nursery, has a number of fruit ancl forest trees for sale at moderate prices to reduce stock. Mr J. Hunt, Hastings, Avill reward anyone returning a sheep bitch to him, which is lost. "Stranger," Daily Telegraph offico, wants comfortable lodgings.
