Tiro inspection of tho Xapior Volunteers is again postponed, indefinitely, owing to the inclement weather now prevailing. Tlie regular fortnightly meeting of the Napier Lodge of Oddfellows takes place in the lodge-room at 7.30 this evening. Mr Wilson delivers a lecture on " Men and Manners" in the Working Men's Club hall at 8 o'clock to-night. The Napier Musical Society meets for practice in the Napier district school at S o'clock to-night. A meeting of those interested in the formation of n Gun Club for Hawke's Bay will be held in the Clarendon Hotel tonight at 8 o'clock. Mr Lyndon sells fruit and forest trees, shrubs, and flowers, by auction at his mart at 11. a.m. to-morrow. Messrs Banner and Liddlo sell the household furniture and effects of Mr Combs by auction to-morrow at 11 a.m., on the premises, Munroc-strect. Tenders for the erection of a building at Hastings will be received by W. A. Bcecroft up to noon to-morrow. The sheep, cattle, and horses, of tho Redely lie estate, to lie sold by Messrs Hoadley, Lyon and Co. on Friday, will be offered absolutely without reserve. Messrs Wood and Co. sell at their rooms at Hastings on Saturday, furniture and miscellaneous goods. Pearse's Mammoth Panorama opens in the Theatre Royal on Saturday evening. A meeting for the purpose of forming a Cricket Club will be held at the Oddfellows' hall, Taradale, on Wednesday evening next. Another special prize is added to the list already published to be awarded at tho ensuing show of the Poultry and Canary Association. Mr 11. Steevcns wants tenders for removing two cottages from Oncpoto gully, and rc-erccting same in Carlyle street. Accounts owing to Mr Fuszard, boot and shoe maker, Hastings, must be paid within fourteen days, or they will be sued for. Mr R. Brooking has a. four-roomed house in Cooto road, with garden and orchard, for sale cheap.
