ARTILLERY FINANCES.
[To Tin-: Editor of the Daily TiXKniAnr.] Hni, —I should like to know when the officer commanding tho Artillery "\ olunteers is going to furnish the oomjwny, as promised, with a statement of the finances of the Battery. Having belonged to the Artillery for some years up to the new regulations coming into force, and being entitled to £'2 10s per annum capitation allowance, I should like to know how the money has been expended. I and others arc aware that the money has been received from the Government, and that is all we can learn about it. Tho statement has been frequently promised, but has never been forthcoming, and I now take the liberty of asking through your columns when it will be made. The inspecting officer being now in Napier, I consider the present timu opportune for having the financial position of the Battery made known to those most interested—the old and new members. Hoping, Sir, that you will give this" insertion, —I am, Sec, Old Member of the Battery. Napier, July ,">, LS.S.'J.
