CHRISTCHURCH CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND THE BANKRUPTCY BILL.

Christchurch, This day

The committee of the Chamber of Commerce, at a special meeting yesterday passed the following resolutions :— That the committee of this Chamber, believing the proposed Bankruptcy Bill to be a, great improvement on the existing Acts, express the hope that the Canterbury members in the House of Representatives will use their influence in securing tho passing of the bill during the present session of Parliament.

That tho foregoing resolution be communicated to tho various Canterbury representatives. That tho president telegraph the forecoing to the various Chambers of Commerce iii New Zealand, with a request that they communicate with their members to a similar effect.
