June 21. It has transpired that the Popo has addressed a letter to President Grevy upon the subject of the present position of the Roman Catholic clergy in France. His Holiness protests strongly against the clerical policy now being pursued by the French Government. It is stated here the Queen of Madagascar died six months ago, and that the fact has hitherto been kept a secret.
