The steamer Kiwi' Captain James Campbell, Bailed for Wellington and the coast at 6.30 p.m. yesterday, taking I,'il casks of tallow, 26 cask" of whale oil, JSO hides, and a quantity of general goods. Tlic Union Steamship Company's s.s. Taiarai, 228 tons, J. Hausby, master, arrived iv the bay at 10 o'clock this morning from Southern"ports, and was tendered soon afterwards by the launch for passengers, and by the lighter Three Brothers for her cargo" The following , is a report of the Taiaroa's passage, kindly furnished by Mr J. Waldie, her purser:—Left Port Chalmers at -t.lo p.m. p.m. on the Ist; crossed the bar at 4.2") p.m., and brensted Moeraki light at 6.20 p.m. same, evening, and arrived at Lyttelton at 9.15 a.m. on the 2nd; left again at 3.J0 p.m., and made fast alongside the wharf at Wellington at 7.45 a.m. on the 3rd : left again at 2.30 p.m. on the -Itit, breasted the Kidnappers at 8.45 a.m. on the otb, and arrived iv the roadstead at 10.5 a.m. same day, after a fine run of 10,1 hours from Wellington. Exporienccd'moderate S.W. winds and swells during the run up the coast. Her outward passengers and mails will be taken off at 4 p.m. this day, the Taiaron. steaming for Gisbortie and Auckland koidii afterwards.

The p.s. Manaia, Capt. Baxter, left for Wairoa at 11.30 o'clock t-his day, taking a good cai-go and several passengers. The steamer Maori is still on North's slip undergoing a thorough overhaul. The' Union Company's steamer Southern Cross, Capt. Allman, left Auckland for Gisborne, Wellington, and Napier last night, and is expected in our roadstead on Thursday. Her hour of departure for Wellington is 10 o'clock on Friday forenoon.

The Union Company's s.s. Wairarapa arrived at the Blull' from Melbourne with the English mails via Suez at 8 a.m. yesterday. (By Caulk.) Lo:>dox, June 4. The Merchant Shipping- and Underwriters' Association report the arrival of the Hhip Titania from Lyttelton (left March 10).
