NEW COMMISSION OF THE PEACE.

Wellington, This day

A new Commission of the Peace has been prepared, and now awaits the Governor's signature. A good many names of present Justices are omitted, and notice has been sent to them to prevent them acting after tho commission is signed. Amongst them is Mr P. Mocllcr, of the Occidental Hotel. The Government inform him that they have determined that it is undesirable that any holder of a publican's license should be in the Commission of the Peace, but that should ho at any time cease to hold such a license they will be glad to re-appoint him.
