MAILS CLOSE Thursday being the Queen's birthday, and a Post Office holiday, mails usually despatched on Thursday morning will close as follows: —For Olive, Hastings, Havelock, To Ante, Kaikora, Waipawa, Waipukurau, Takapau, Onnondville, Makatoku, Motuotaria, Wallingford, Porangahau, Wainui, Pukutapu, Rissington, Kiiripapanga, and Ercwhon, this day at 8 p.m. For Wellington, kc, per Southern Cross, on Friday, at 0 a.m. For Wellington, Southern ports, and Melbourne, per Manapouri, on Saturday, at 1 p.m. For Gisborno, Auckland, and Sydney, per To Anau, on Saturday, at 3 p.m. For Gisborno, Auckland, and Fiji, per Penguin, on Saturday, at 3 p.m. For London, per steamer British Queen leaving Lyttoltou on the 31st instant, calling at Rio do Janeiro, due at London about 17th July.
