Passengers —Messrs Do Castro, Walker, Jones, Henry, Liddell, and Tuke. DEPARTURES. May. 23—Kiwi, s.s., for Wellington and the const. Passengers—Mr and Mrs Bam and child. « ■ The p.s. Manaia, Capt. Baxter, from Wairoa, got inside shortly after 1 0 clock yesterday afternoon, having a number of passengers' and two or three tons of fruit on board. She is to take her departure for the sumo place again at 8 o'clock this evening. The Union Company's .steamship Manapouri, Capt. Logan, will be a day late coming clown the coast this week, and will thus not arrive hero from Gisbornc and Auckland before Sunday morning, sailing southwards the same day. The steamer Kiwi, which was to have left for Wellington and the coast last night, was delayed luitil 7 o'clock this morning by the impropitious appearance of the weather. The s.s. Maori, Captain Anderson, arrived from Wairoa at noon to-day, with six passengers and 100 cases of fruit. She will not bo leaving ngain until Friday night. The Union Company's steamer Southern Cross, Captain Allnnui, which left Auckland on Monday evening last, is clue hero tomorrow afternoon. She is annouced to steam from the wharf for Wellington only at 8 o'clock on Friday morning. (By Caiile.) Melbourne, Tuesday. Arrived, last evening, Mcssagieres steamship Natal from Marseilles ; this evening. Orient steamship John Elder from Plymouth (loft April 7). Sydney, Tuesday. Arrived, yesterday, Waihora from Auckland. (BY TELEGRAPH.) Wesitokt, This day. The Miihiiinpua got a hawser to the Qmaperc last night, and would most likely have got her off, but the warp parted at a critical moment. The Oniapere is now in a riightly better position. No damage hns been done to her excepting some strain to the machinery in the engine-room. Ckristciiukch, This day. The Now Zealand Shipping Company have received advice that the lonic left the Cape of Good Hope on May 20th, and she may bo expected at Wellington on June 12th. Auckland, This day. Sailed, yesterday afternoon, mail steamer Zealandia for San Francisco.
