MELBOURNE.
This day. A man named George Sweeney has been arrested at Sydney charged Avith the robbery of ,-GOO from the Colonial Bank at BrunsAvick, near the city, last month. The accused Avas bound for San Francisco Avhen arrested. It has transpired that the Ncav Zealand Government Avas invited to acquiesce in joining the postal union but has declined.
