"\J~OTICE is hereby given that Applica1_ i ti.on is intended to be made to the General Assembly, at the ensuing Session thereof, by the New Zealand Native Land Settlement Company (Limited) for leave to bring in si bill authorising , the said Company to extend its operations over the North Island of New Zealand, and to change the situation of its Registered Office, and to acquire and hold lands as Trustees or Agents, and to manage lands on terms to be arranged with the owners thereof, and to guarantee payment of liabilities of persons transferring Lands to it, and to purchase its shares voluntaril3 r and compulsorily, and to borrow money, and issue debentures, and create debenture stock, and to mortgage its lands and unpaid Capital, and to contract with the Crown or the Minister of Public Works, or the Public Officer for the Construction of Roads, Bridges, and Works, and to appear in the Native Land Court by counsel, agents, and witnesses, and to make application thereto to have its interest in land denned and vested in itself, and to amalgamate with other Companies, and to confer and vary other rights, powers, and privileges. And Notice is also given that copies of the said Bill will be deposited in the Office of the Examiner of Standing Orders, at Wellington, either before or within fourteen days after the commencement of the said Session, and will be open to the inspection of all parties.
