Invercakgill, This day. Mr Julian Thomas, the " Vagabond, " lectured on Tuesday evening to a largo audience. Tn the course of his remarks he denounced tho Salvation Army as an unclean thing. The statement Avas received with general applause, and one loud hiss. Mr Thomas added that he had studied the Avorking of the movement in Adelaide, Avliere no good had been done ; on the contrary, the barracks Avere converted into a place of assignation by members and others, and the tactics of the music hall and " free-and-easy " Avere introduced into Avhat they ro-called religion.
