The Union Steamship Company's s.s. Southern Cross, Capt. Allman, arrived m our roadstead from AVellington at 7 o'clock last night, and was berthed inside at the cattle wharf by the pilot at 9 o'clock. Hie discharged her cargo, about 20 tons, during this morning, and at -1 o'clock this afternoon was to ieavejfor Gisborne and Auck- ' Tlie steamer Sir Donald, Capt. Quinlan, took her departure for AVaimarama last evening, taking a good cargo. The "steamer Kiwi, which was to have left AVellington last evening, was postponed until 5 o'clock to-night, and may now be expected to arrive here on Friday morning. The three-masted schooner Frank Guy, Captain J. P. Balle. was brought inside by the pilot this morning and berthed at the breastwork, where she will discharge her cargo of coal for Messrs Tait and Mills. The p.s. Alan.'da. Captain Baxter, did not get away for AVairoa last night, but will bo leaving at 8 o'clock to-morrow morning, taking' cargo and passengers. [by carle.] Melbourne, This day. The departure of the steamship Rotomahana for the Bluff has been postponed until to-morrow.
