AVeixixoTOX, This day. The first annual meeting of the Wellington aud Alunawatii Railway Company was hold to-day. In the report the directors congratulated the shareholders on the satisfactory position of tho affairs of the company." Contracts had been let for tho construction of the AVellington ami Longburn Junction amounting to fJ72,8(>3. and several arc finished and others are in progress. Tho survey of the lino had advanced considerably, so that, in two or throe months, tenders may be called for 28 miles. This will make 3o miles in progross of construction. Tho report was adopted. Alessrs J. Plinunor aud Shannon were re-elected directors.
