The steamer Sir Donald, Captain Quintan, returned from Mangakuri at 8 o'clock last night, having landed a part cargo and shipped 79 bales of wool and 4 casks of tallow. The Union Steamship Company's s.s. Rotomahana, 1727 tons, Captain Carey, arrived in the roadstead from Northern ports at G o'clock this morning, and was shortly afterwards tendered by the Boojum for mails and passengers, and by the ketch Three Brothers for cargo, some 30 tons. The following is a report of her passage down the coast, for which we thank Mr Charles Hudson, her purser : —Left Auckland at noon on loth, aud called at Gisbome on tho 16th, leaving again for Napier eamo date; had fine weather throughout. The s.s. Sir Douald took off several racehorses during the morning, and at 2 o'clock this afternoon the outward mails and passongers were to leave the wharf by the launch, tho Rotomahana getting away for Southern ports and Melbourne soon afterwards. The p.s. Manaia took a trip to Tongoio this morning, with a part cargo, and returned to port agaiu at about noon. Although tho Kiwi was telegraphed as having left Castle Point at 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon, she did not arrive here thismorning as expected. She will probably bo availing herself of the fine weather to land cargo at Capo Turnagaiu or Blackhead, and will arrive here on Monday morning - . Tho Union steamer Southern Cross took her departure for Wellington at about 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon. Thos.s.3laori', Captain Anderson, steamed for Mohaka at about 4 o'clock this morning, taking a good cargo. Tho brigantine Magellan Cloud, Captain Richards, sailed for West Wanganui in ballast early this morning. The three-masted schooner Ellcrton has cleared for Timaru, and will probably sail to-morrow morning. Tho Union Company's s.s. Wairarapa is expected to leave Wellington for Northern ports and Sydney at 8 o'clock to-night, with soma 50 tons of cargo on board for this port, and should avrivo in our roadstead at about 2 o'clock to-morrow afternoon. She will bo tendered as usual on arrival for inward cargo and passengers, and at i o'clock the launch is announced to leave the wharf with tho outward mails and passengers. Tho steamer Fairy loft 'for Mangakuri and To Apiti at 9 o'clook last night, with a part cargo. [BY TELEOEAI-I.] Wellington, This day. Arrived, this day, H.M.S. Diamoud and s.s.
