WASTE LANDS BOARD.
This Day
The Board met at 11 a.m. Present: The Chief Commissioner (Mr J. T. Tylee) in the chiiiiv Captain Russell, and Messrs F. Sutton, M.H.R., and R. Harding. COHBESrOXDEXCK. The following inward correspondence was read : — Prom the Chief Surveyor, report and valuation on the lands in the Mohaka and Moeangiangi blocks. —It was decided that steps should be taken to offer these lands for sale, with the exception of section 1, block 11.. Moeangiangi, which is to bo withheld for the present. From the Hanger, reporting- on the nature of improvements made on section 1, Victoria special settlement, and giving- particulars of diiinajro done by bush fires.—lt was decided that Mr R. Grinlington be allowed to pay the balance due on his selection. From the same, reporting on several holdings in Ngamoko block and Takapau district.—The Board deculed that the following- holders have fulfilled the conditions required during the first two yeai-s of occupation, namely T. A. Mathicsou, section S7, block V., Takapau; M. Hutchinson, section S, block VI., Ngamoko; J. Jacobson, section 10, block III.; J. O'Hara, section 20, block III.; TV. Youngman, section 10, block VI. , J. Johanseu, section 29, block 111. ; J. Wood, section 12, block 111. ; and J. Butcher, section 5, block 111., all of / Ngamoko district. Section 24, block 111., Ngamoko, was ordered to be inspected after three months, when, if the report o|#the Ranger is not satisfactory, the selector's right to acquire the land will be forfeited. The Board declared tke right of TV. M. Clarke to hold and acquire section 7, block 111., Ngamoko, and of M. Priest to hold and acquire section 1 in the same block forfeited. From P. L. Guillard, requesting to be allowed to pay balance due on section 31, Victoria special settlement.—Approved. From T. TVaterworth, applying to transfer Ids interest in section 30, block IX, TVoodville, to John Harris.—Consideration postponed pending receipt of application in proper foi-m. From TV. Harker, on behalf of C. Bruford, requesting that such proportion of the value of improvements made on section 28, block 111., Ngamoko, recently sold at auction, as the Board should determine might bo re» turned to the selector.—Agreed to refund £9 15s.
