ANNUAL MEETING SOUTHERN CROSS PETROLEUM COMPANY.

Gisboiote, This day. The animal meeting- of the Southern Cross Petrolemn Company was held last night. The report and balance-sheet was taken as read. All the Gisborne directors resigned en iiifsse, and a new board, comprising Messrs W. H. Spackman, P. J. Jamison, F. W. Williams, W. D. Hears, G. Hart, E. Wickes, and T. B. Craig, of Christchurch, were elected. The new board will henceforth sit in Christchurch. At the first meeting Messrs Wickes and Craig will retire in favor of Dr. Rouse and Mr J. Rhodes. The meeting at Gisborne was unanimous, and satisfaction was expressed with the present prospect. Mr Motley represented the Napier, and Messrs Craig, Spackman, and Wickes the Christchurch shareholders.
