(Before Captain Preece, R.M.) CIVIL CASES.
licgarty v. Twoomey.—Claim of L'l os for pair of boots made and delivered. Mr Guy appeai-ed for defendant (who was not present), and urged that the debt was one among others taken over by Mr Twoomey's successor at the Takapau Hotel. Plaintiff deposed that the claim was disputed by the latter, and judgment was ultimately given for plaintiff, with costs.
Hagnicier v. Spencer.—Claim of £9 10s 10d for wages. Mr Guy for plaintiff. Defendant wished to put in a set-off for part of the amount, but could not because he had not given twenty-four hours notice. Judgment was given for plaintiff, \\ ith costs and counsel's fee.
Hegarty v. Westmoreland. —Claim of £o os. Judgment confessed.
