Maori is expected to get away for Porangahau to-night with timber and stores. The p.s. Manaia, Captain Botham, Avill be leaA-ing for Wairoa on Friday night. The Union Steamship Company's s.s. Southern Cross left AVcllington for this port at S o'clock last night, and should put in an appearance here this evening-. Besides a quantity of general cargo the Cross brings a valuable bull and a number of sheep, which will be discharged at the wharf tomorrow morning. Her time of departure for Gisborne, Hick's Bay, and Auckland, has been altered to 3 o'clock to-morroAV (Thursday) afternoon. The Sir Donald has not yet returned from the coast, probably having been detained by the heaA-y savcll running. Messsrs Shaw, Savill and Co.'s chartered barque Coromaudel, Captain Hendry, is to clear at the Custom House for London during this afternoon, with a cargo consisting of 3817 bales and 84 quarter-bales of wool, a statement of Avhich, together with its shippers and value, Avill appear in our next issue.
