This day. Harvesting is now general throughout the district, and reports are coming in from all quarters of the splendid condition of the grain crops. There is a considerably larger area in grain this year than last, and the yield is expected to be heavy. The long continued draught, although faA'orable to harvesting, is seriously affecting stockbreeders, feed having become so scarce that in some instances cattle are being fed on hay intended for winter use.
