THE SUEZ CANAL BLOCKED.
ILLNESS OF CHRISTINE NILLSON. FAILURE OF CROPS IN LINCOLNSHIRE. LONDON. January 9. The steamer Colombo, which grounded in the Suez Canal, at present completely blocks traffic. Christine Nillson is at present suffering from an affection of the throat, which will prevent her appearing in public for some time to come. The crops in Lincolnshire have become completely soddeued through the late heavy rains, anct their entire destruction is considered a matter of certainty. By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.
