TIMARU.
This day. At the meeting of the Harbor Board the following resolutions in connection with the loan of £100,000 were passed:—"That the minimum rate for the loan be £08 for £100, and the interest lie •'> percent., payable halfyearly in London, Australia, and New Zealand, the loan to be repayable on the :> Ist of December, 1013, the debentures to be fixed at £100 each." "That tenders for floating the loan be called for; the secretary to furnish the necessary information to those applying for it. Tlie Insurance Association have decided to reduce the rates on vessels loading for Home inside the Timaru breakwater from ■17s (id to 37s (Jd, thus making the rates the same as at Lyttelton, Port Chalmers, and the other principal ports. The ship Margaret Galbraith will be brought inside the breakwater to discharge and load for Home.
