The ratepayers of the Puketapu and Clivc Eoiid .Board districts meet this evening, the former at the school-room, Puketapu, at 0.30, and the latter at the public hall, Clivc, at 7, to consider the question of abolishing , Eoad Boards and allowing County Councils to do their work. At the Horse Bazaar to-morrow Mr Monteith -will sell the racehorse Aramoho and 10 other horses. Legal proceedings will be taken against any persour slaughtering without a license in the Hawke's Bay County after Tuesday next. Tenders are invited for alterations to Messrs Fortune and Black's premises in Dickens street. Messrs McEwan and Murray, Hastings, offer a reward of £2 for the recovery of two mares, lost from Napier ou the Ist instant. Mr F. P. Corkill, Xew Plymouth, is now booking orders for the present crop of Taranaki cocksfoot. Mr Cassin, Hastings street, is clearing his stock of glassware, ire, at reduced prices, and dairies of fresh butter is always on hand at his establishment. Mr M. E. Miller will .sell at the Agricultural and Pastoral Society's annual ram fair, to be held at Hastings on "Wednesday, 2-itli instant, a number of Lincoln, EomneyMarsh, and Merino rams from the most eminent breeders, and some pure "Wyudham stud ewes. Mr F. Suttou invites tenders for clearing land near Korokipo, or for ploughing and clearing in one contract. Special purchases of new goods have been made by Mr Alexander Browne, Hastings street, who is offering the cheajx'st drapery in Napier. For particulars see our " Wanted Known" column.
