MR. M.R. MILLER'S LAND SALE.
Mr M. R. Miller reports a limited attendance at his sale yesterday at the Criterion Hotel of sections at Napier, Woodville, Hastings, Kaikora, &c. Bidding was fairly brisk for Woodville lands, but there were lib buyers for sections in the other districts. The following are the sections which passed tho hammer, viz : —Subdivision of suburban section 10—Lots 2 and 3, containing 23 l-sth perches, to H. S. Ruddock, at £45 each ; lot 5, 31f perches, to Walter Hallett, £40 ; lots 6 and 7, 23£ perches each, to Daniel Chamier, for £80 (these two sections are intended for a site for town hall) ; and lot 8, 20 perches, to James Taylor at £31. Subdivision of sections 6 and 175—Lots 45 and 46, containing i-acre each, to Captain Preece, at £9 each : lots 52 and 53, I -acre each, to W. Hallett, at £9 and £10 each ; lot 58, 3 acres 1 perch, Captain Preece, at £13 per acre ; lot 359 and 50, 5 acres 2 perches and 5 acres, to — Rochfort, at £10 and £13 per acre. Subdivision of section No. 7—Lot 2, containing 1 rood 2 perches, to E. Bamford, at £2 10s ; lots 7, i-acre, at £7 10s, 8, -Jacre at £6, 42, 1 rood 8 perches at £6 10s, 43, i-acro at £5, 44, 33 perches at £4, and 45, 33 perches at £4, to James Taylor ; lots 9, 1 rood 4 perches at £21, 10, 1 rood 7 perches at £18, 11, 1 rood 7 perches at £29, 12, i-acre at £10, 13, i-acre at £10, 20, i-acre at £25, 21, i-acro at £16, 22, i-acre at £18, 23, 35 perches at £15, 24, 1 rood 4 perches at £10 10s, and 25, 38 perches at £7 10s, to Peter Robertson ; lot 14, £-acre at £10, to A. J. Cotterill; lots 15, i-acre at £7, and 16, -J-acre at £7, to Hugh Gilligan ; lot 3 18, i-acre at £7, and 26, i-acre at £6 10s, to Percival Bear ; lot 19, £-acre at £11, to Murdock M'Kay ; lots 3i, £-acre at £7 103, and 32, £-acre at £6 10s, to Captain Preece ; lots 33, i-acre at £7 10, 34, i-acre at £5 10s, 35, i-acre at £5, 39, i-acre at £5, 50, 31 perchc3 at £6, and. 82,1 acre 27 perches at £16, to H. S. Ruddock ; lots 46, 33 perches at £4, 47, 33 perches at £3 10s, 48, i-acre at £5, 49, J-acre at £1, 52, i-acre at £5, 84, 1 acre 2 roods 28 perches at £16, and 88, 1 acre 2 roods 28 perches at £15, to W. Hallett. Rural section 24, containing 40 acres 3 roods, vras sold to C. H. Smith at £5 per acre.
