SYDNEY.

November 30. The election of four members for the Baet Sydney constituency took place today, and resulted in the return of Messrs Reid, Barton, Griffith?, and MeElhone. Sir Henry Parkee and Dr. Renwick were defeated. Great excitement prevails in the city to-night. December 1. In his speech at the hustings last evening, Sir Henry Parkes said that he refused to accept his defeat for East Sydney as the verdict of the country, but stated that it would probably result in certain changes in the Government.
