LONDON.
October 2. The third series of wool sales closed to-day. The total quantity sold during the series has been 320,000 bales, and 40,000 have been held over for the next auctions, which commence on November 21st. Good qualities of wool have closed at about the same prices as at the close of the May-June series, but inferior and faulty wools of all kinds were irregular. October 3. Two serious agrarian murders are reported to-day from Ireland, farmers in both cases being the victims. The scenes of the outrages were Boyle in County, Roscommon.and Castle Island in County Kerry. Several arrests have been made of persons believed to be implicated in the murders. October 5. The Times publishes a telegram in this morning's issue to tbe effect that the English officers possess documentary evidence of Arabi's complicity in tbe massacre of Europeans at Alexandria and other places.
