KAIKOURA.

September 20. The ketch Emerald, from Foxton, hdeo with timber for Kaikoura and Lyttelton, arrived here yesterday, and at low water, when being berthed, she bumped on a rocky ledge abreast of the jetty, aud was immediately filled with water. There wae a heavy roll at the time. The vessel is buoyed up by her cargo. The wharf contract which has just been let provides for the removal of this ledge.
