RULES AND REGULATIONS. No entry will be received for any race except upon the condition that all claims, disputes, and objections arising shall be decided by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint, and their decision upon all points shall be final. . All protests must be accompanied with a deposit of 2 soys, which sum shall be forfeited to the funds it the protest is not sustained. All nominations, entries, acceptances, &c, accompanied by the necessary amount in cash, must be addressed to the Secretary, and left atßeecrofns Hotel, Hastings, not later than 10 p.m. on the several specified dates. The rules and weights ol the Hawke s Bay Jockey Club as in force at the date of the meeting, will De Strictly adhered to. Horses walking over will receive 50 per cent, of the stakes. , , , " Hack " shall mean a horse that has never started in n weight for age or handicap race. Racing Club, Masonic Hotel, Napier, to contain specified sum, name of owner aud colours of Nominations for Handicap Hurdles, and Pakowhai Handicap to be sent in by 9 P m. on Tuesday, 6th December, accompanied by a fee of 1 soy fot each nomination. Half forfeits (of 1 roy) to be declared and paid by 12 noon on the day of the race for the following events or the nominator will be liable for the whoe sweepstakes, viz : Maiden Plate, Paknwhal Handicap, and Hand'cap Hurdles Ali sweeps to be paid at scale and to be for starters only.
